Best of Calgary: Homes and Design

The annual Best of Calgary survey results have been released and based on the results from Calgarians, we have a list of the best places in Calgary. For the benefit of our clients, we are going to share the best places in town in the homes and design categories so you can get recommendations on everything for your home.

To measure where participants resided in Calgary, we depended on the voters’ willingness to share this information. While this wasn’t a mandatory field in our survey, we were thrilled that the large majority of Calgarians agreed to tell us what area of the city they call home. As a result, we’re happy to report that out of 239 total communities/areas in our city, we received votes from residents of 215 communities – or 90% of the city. [Best of Calgary]

  • Best bathroom store: The Royal Flush (2115 4 St SW #109)
  • Best kitchenware store: Knifewear (1316 9 Ave SE)
  • Best lighting store: Carrington (2513 5 Ave NW)
  • Best contemporary furniture store: Revolve (7070 11 St SE)

The best neighbourhood was voted as Inglewood:

Inglewood was established in 1875 and is actually Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood, even though it was not given its name until 1911. Located just off both the Bow and Elbow Rivers, this neighborhood was the focal point in the early development of our city. [Best of Calgary]
