Each year, Avenue Calgary releases its list of the best neighbourhoods in Calgary. This year’s cream of the crop is Brentwood. This northwest community sits between Crowchild Trail and John Laurie Boulevard along Nose Hill Park. Here are some statistics on Brentwood:

Brentwood is a neighbourhood unlike most in the city. As you turn off one major road into this community, you are greeted by wide roads lined with trees, giving the area a welcoming, homey feel. There are plenty of green spaces to walk your dog, and the Nose Hill off-leash area is easily accessible with the pedestrian walkway over John Laurie Boulevard. With plenty of schools, recreation facilities and pathways, this is a great area to start a family in.
