An article in the Calgary Herald earlier this week focused on the increased congestion on Calgary roads, and it prompted a discussion. The City’s goal is to have free-flowing traffic decrease northbound delay by 90 per cent.
According to the article: “A city report forecasts 3.7 million daily car trips in 2019, compared with 2.8 million in 2006 — more if the city doesn’t grow in the way planners hope.”
We polled our Twitter followers on how they would rate traffic in our city, and these are some of the responses:
“Actually pretty good. Try living in T.O. for awhile, and you will appreciate #yyc #traffic.” – @BounceShooter
“I made a fairly successful Twitter account from traffic in this city.” – @driveyyc
“Is mind-numbingly aggravating an option?” – @AmberCraig_
