Calgary Condo Property Act: Does it need to change?

Service Alberta is currently looking for condo owners to take part in a quick survey online, to help them make the Condo Property Act better. We thought we’d run our own little Twitter survey to see what condo owners feel are the issues with the Act right now (if any). Thanks everyone for the great responses:

“lack of clarity as to what documents are the “required documents” that triggers the rescission period.” – @adanacYYC

“Better protection for buyers of brand new condos re: warranties.” – @AmberCraig_

“Condo boards… This @calgaryherald op-ed: ow.ly/i8HpM makes good points about need for + transparency/accountability.” – @BBHwest

On the Service Alberta website:

Your input on this consultation paper will be used to determine the merit of the policy proposals being considered by Service Alberta, and to identify other condominium issues that are not covered in the paper. The results of the consultation will help the government make decisions about changes to the Condominium Property Act (the Act).
