A successful renovation comes with working with the right contractors. If you haven’t been given a great recommendation from a friend or family member, here are some tips to ensuring you get the best people for the job.
Do your homework: do your research. Check online reviews, and ask people who have had recent renovations done what their experiences were (any problems that arose to look out for). It’s also important to get several quotes so you can determine the right price for the job.
Ask questions: some questions to ask would be: how long have you been in business? What’s your expertise? Are you licensed? Are you insured?
Ask for references: any reputable contractor should be able to provide you with a list of references (without issue) upon request.
Get the breakdown of your quote: make sure you understand exactly how your quote is broken down. Is it all in, or are supplies extra?
