Great news for our city, as Calgary was just named one of the most livable cities in the world. The ranking was released by The Economist today, and ranked 140 cities around the world on various factors.
Calgary was given the title of fifth most livable city in the world, and Vancouver and Toronto took the third and fourth spots, making Canada’s major centres looking pretty good. The index takes into account 30 factors including: safety, healthcare, educational resources, infrastructure and environment.
The ranking is pretty well-deserved for Calgary (could even be higher), as our city has been often touted as being very eco-friendly and recently the headlines have been all about how great our economy and housing market are performing.
