There’s about three months left in the year (hard to believe), and Calgary has already set a new record for the number of luxury home sales in one year. The number of properties over $1 million sold in Calgary this year is 545, and counting. The record for most luxury sales in a year was set last year, when the number totalled 544 for the entire year.
A lot of factors are contributing to this push in luxury homes: strong economy in Calgary, higher executive salaries, and let’s not forget the flood in June pushed many high-end homeowners into the buying market as well. There are also a lot of listings in the luxury market in Calgary right now.
This all results in good news for both buyers and sellers looking at luxury homes right now. Prices are strong, homes are moving, and there’s plenty of inventory to choose from.
