Currently condo buildings in Calgary are not part of the City’s recycling plan, so the City of Calgary is working hard to remind Calgarians who live in condos, what their options are. There are 50 recycling locations in Calgary, open 24-hours a day. These recycling centres take the following:
- Plastics with the recycling symbol 1-7 (excluding Polystyrene)
- Plastic bags
- Paper and cardboard
- Glass jars and bottles
- Metal food cans and foil
- Beverage containers
Why doesn’t the City of Calgary have a recycling program for condos?
